Industrial Use: Pure De-ionized water was required in the manufacturing process of many acids including Sulphuric, Hydrochloric and Citric Acid. In addition, many other chemicals were synthesized using this water including Caustic Soda, Sodium Bisulphite and Sodium Chlorite.
Project Specifications:
- Pre-treatment: 20-micron, 100 G.P.M. Sediment filter
- De-ionization System: 60 G.P.M. Separate bed true duplex with automatic regeneration on-site using HCl + NaOH as regenerates
- Storage Solution: 4000 Gallon polyethylene storage tank for De-ionized water
- PLC-controlled Automation System: indicator lights for different cycles of regeneration of both sides, manual override commands, alarm conditions for chemical levels, conductivity monitoring and other preventative measures
